Scary Rabbits, Pony Rides, and Egg-Hunting Extravaganza

Monica invited us to join in her neighborhood's Easter Egg hunt a few weekends before Easter.  There were photos with the Easter Bunny, horse rides, jump houses, food, and of course an egg hunt.  We met up with all of the rest of our Hawaii ohana and except for being forced to have a picture with the creepy bunny, the kids had a blast!

If my kids were ever scared of Santa, it was totally uncalled for compared to this scary bunny we had our photos made with this year! Dylan was not going anywhere near that rabbit without being held, hence the reason Mark and I are also in the photo. All Gavin said about it was, "He didn't talk!"

This photo gives you an idea of the amount of kids hunting eggs. They had a small section roped off and eggs were scattered everywhere. Each kid was only allowed 6 eggs, so at least there was no egg-hoarding.

Gavin was in the second age group - Can you spot him?

Where's Gavin?

Their favorite part...opening the eggs and eating the CANDY!

9 Years Old!

Our Marley girl turned nine years old back in February and being the party girl that she is, we had a little celebration for her.  Call me crazy, but we (I) treat Marley like a human, so her birthday party had cake while we sang to her and she opened presents.  For a nine year old boxer that had stage 2 cancer when she was 3, Marley is really healthy now.  Other than looking a little gray and not being able to go for long walks, she still has the same spunk in her she's always had.  I couldn't imagine a better, more loyal and loving dog.  Love you girl! XOXO!
Waiting patiently to eat her birthday "cake" (canned dog food)

She loves tearing open presents!  This year she got a new toy and leash and collar set that Dylan helped pick out.

Happy 9 years to you Marley Ho'alohakupa'a Buelow!  (Marley-the-loyal-friend-Buelow)
