Dylan turned one this past Saturday (9-10-11) and I have lots of pictures of him tearing into his cake that I'll save for a blog post of it's own. For this post, I wanted to give you a glimpse into our little Dylan Irene's life...
...he's walking now (running actually) and has been for about 2 months.
....he climbs on anything he can. This includes his "riding toys" that have 4 wheels and move when you try to stand on the seat. Many of these climbs usually end in one of two ways 1) I see him and frantically run over to save him from falling off or 2) I don't see him and he falls off. Neither result seems to bother him or deter him from trying it again.
...he no longer eats baby food. The last batch I bought was a battle to get him to eat it because he prefers to feed himself whatever we are eating.
....we just finished the last can of formula and have moved on to whole milk. He is still a little unsure of the milk, but slowly getting to the point where he will drink it.
...his vocabulary consists of "dada", "mama", and "done".
...he makes the sign language sign for "more", but when he does it, it looks like the time out sign :)
Yesterday he had his 12 month doctor's visit -where he got 4 shots :(. He weighed in at 21 pounds and 15 ounces (gaining over 2 pounds since his 9 month appointment!). His height is still in the 96th percentile - at 32 inches long.
Here are a few pictures of little Irene from the past few months...

| Taken at Aunty Sophia's - she said he loves wearing this purse around his neck. At home he loves putting backpacks, Marley's leashes, or bags around his neck. |
