The new Disney resort at KoOlina (Aulani) had a Children's Film Festival over Martin Luther King holiday weekend along with a special rate to stay at the resort so we took advantage of the deal and went for a night. The kids ABSOLUTELY loved every minute of this overnighter! We took full advantage of being resort guests for the night by showing up at 10 am on the day of check-in and left around 8:00 pm the following night so that we had two full days there.

We spent the morning playing in the pools and splash pads then in the afternoon we enjoyed some of the activities they had for the Children's film festival.

| That evening they showed The Lion King on a giant screen set up on the beach. We ordered pizzas and had a beach picnic while watching the movie. |

| With our early risers, we were some of the first people down at the pools in the morning. |

| They have free child care for kids (called Aunty's Play house) so Mark and I took advantage of an hour to go to the adult only pools while the kids had a BLAST playing there. They had a Disney movie room, dress up with all Disney costumes, an out door play area, video game room, craft room and lots of supervision. |

| Gavin wore his wrist bands to school the whole next week (apparently all the cool kids go to Aulani and wear the bracelets to school :) |

| These boys had so much fun (they still ask us often to go back), so while it was pricey I'd say it was worth the $. It made me realize that we may need to plan a trip to Disney Land/World soon! |
