When we lived at Maili Cove Mark used to spend lots of time fishing (pole fishing and spear fishing). Seems like I haven't seem him use either of these "toys" in years, until recently. At the end of August and over Labor Day weekend,we took the boys shore fishing and fishing out on Jaimi and Julie's boat.
Our first fishing adventure was down in Ewa Beach, at a friend's house that lives in a cottage right on the beach. We went over on a Friday night with the fishing poles, drinks, and dinner. Although we didn't catch any fish, the boys did have fun catching crabs once it got dark :)

The following weekend, the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, Jamie and Julie Davis invited us to go out on their boat for some bottom fishing (not quite as intensive as deep sea fishing...much closer to shore in waters of about 30-100 feet). This trip was awesome! We saw spinner dolphins and caught so many fish that Mark and his first mate, Gavin were working the whole time!

| Dylan was my partner on the boat..he didn't want to go down where they were reeling the fish in - he was quite content sitting with me and Uncle Jamie from the Captain's seat. I think he was worried he might get sick since he did the last time we went out on their boat, but he didn't. He did great this time! |
