October Break 2015

We had a great October break this year - time off school for Mark and the kids - AND we had family come to visit!  Mike, Shelley, Henry, Emma, Joan, and Blue all made the trip out here to spend the week together.  We did beaches, hikes, Pearl Harbor, the Aquarium, a night at the Aulani resort, and made a lot of memories spending time together!

We went to the Aulani for a night also. I captured this Mickey encounter from the balcony in our room. Loved seeing the excitement on the kid's faces when they saw Mickey :)

The boys made this welcome sign for everyone when they got here. They drew pictures of all the things we would do during the week...beach, hike, Aulani, and Dave & Busters :)

September 2015

Here is what we were up to this past September....

Gavin took first place in a Judo tournament for the first time!

The following day was Grandparent's Day luncheon at his school and my friend, Charlotte has come to lunch with Gavin on this day for the past two years. I packed Gavin a special lunch of "1st Place Ham Sandwich,"  "Ippon Apples," and "Champion Chips."

I joined Dylan for his first field trip this year - to the Makiki Library.

After the library, we went to Manoa Park for a picnic lunch and exploration of the insects in the tall grass and stream.

Friday night dinner at our favorite spot in Manoa Marketplace... Tokuname Sushi. We love that the boys can ride their scooters out to dinner :)

We went to the Honolulu Museum of Art for Family Sunday...

Dylan found Clifford at the book fair at his school.
