We had a wonderful Christmas this year - seeing the excitement in the kids eyes really makes it a magical time and having my parents here made it even better. After our busy Christmas Eve of baking and hosting a get-together, our Christmas day was just the opposite. The boys woke us all up bright and early so we sat around the tree and opened gifts one by one, playing with the toys in between. Although it took a few hours to finish, it was nice to take time to appreciate each gift and who it came from.
Most of the day was spent in our PJ's watching movies and playing with new toys, but we did manage to take a walk up to the park before dinner. We may not have had a white Christmas like we did last year, but being able to enjoy the 80 degree weather on Christmas day has it's own benefits... how else could we have burned a few calories from all the baked goods??  |
