We had the first hurricane warning this summer in the 12 years we've lived here. Hurricane Flossie was headed towards the Hawaiian Islands and the news reporters here did a great job of scarring everyone to wipe the stores out of food and water for a few days. Luckily, by the time the storm hit it was downgraded to a tropical storm so we really had nothing more than a rainy/windy day. Not to say that I'm complaining because we have been incredibly lucky that nothing has come out of all the tsunamis and now a hurricane we've had since living here.

| I have to admit, seeing all the weather reports had us a little nervous! |
| Before the "storm" hit, we kept the boys busy around the house by making homemade ice cream in ziplock bags. |
| They also pretended to "cook" dinner with kitchen utensils and toys. |
