In between Judo practices and tournaments and right after soccer season, the boys participated in the Freestyle and Greco Wrestling season this spring. Busy doesn't begin to cover our schedule :)
Both boys practiced twice a week, Dylan participated in two of the tournaments, and Gavin participated in all of the tournaments for the 3 month season. Dylan was the youngest age group and as a 4 year old, wrestled 5 and 6 year olds. He took first place in his first tournament and 2nd place in his second tournament then decided he didn't want to enter any more tournaments during the season, which was fine with us since he is so young.
Gavin showed continuous improvement throughout the season and wrestled some good kids. He took 1st at a few tournaments, 2nd at a few, but took 1st in the championship tournament for Freestyle and Greco. We were so proud of both boys!

| Gavin also attended a summer wrestling camp at the very beginning of the summer. Mark has talked about having a "Future State Champ Camp" for a few years now and this summer he was finally able to make it happen! |
