Our Summer Trip - Tennessee

After we got back from our weekend trip to Charlotte, we spent a couple of days in Tennessee visiting with my family (we went to Mississippi in the middle of that week...will post more later about that). At the end of the week in TN, my parents drove and met Mark's mom half way (about 4 hours each) to "exchange us". We had lunch and were able to snap a few quick pictures...
Gavin with his grandmothers.

The first leg of the 8 hour car ride that day...happy as can be with a lollypop and watching Diego on the DVD player.
The lake front where my parents have their motor home. Gavin called it "the firetruck" and liked staying up here.

We took the boat out several times and this is the little fish my mom and Gavin caught - Gavin didn't like it too much when it flopped off the hook as we were trying to take a picture.
Father's Day dinner at a Japanese Steakhouse.
The captain of the boat - he loved just sitting out on the boat and playing. When we would take it out, he would say that he was taking us to Ko Olina or Pokai Bay (I guess Gavin knows something we all don't.... that the TN river can get you to the Pacific Ocean)

Gavin didn't like to swim in the river - he said there were crocodiles in here. It is a big change from the clear ocean, but as hot as it was the water felt great!
