The only downside to Gavin being in preschool this year is how often he gets sick - he has had 2 ear infections (or one long one), several colds, and most recently a cold and blocked tear ducts. This past Thursday, we kept him home because he had a fever the night before. Of course, he felt great the next day but we wanted to be safe and make sure he was ok. Since Mark and I were both home (the end of my maternity leave and the beginning of his paternity leave) we took advantage of the family time together and headed to the mall so the kids could see Santa. We were the first ones there to see Santa so Gavin got plenty of time to talk to him (talked his ear off actually)
