We spent the last of 2012 and brought in the new year with the Weida family. We had a great night hanging out here at the house - they kids all had a blast playing and we all enjoyed a delish surf and turf dinner of king crab legs and steaks. Having them over for the night was great motivation to take all the Christmas decorations down and I even found a box of NYE decorations from a party we had here about 6 years ago to make the house look "sparkly"! (of course I forgot to take any pictures :)

After dinner, we had a big celebration to ring in the new year...KID style (at 8:00 pm). They had milk and cookies for toasting, a balloon drop, and glow sticks to play with while they got ready for bed. It was the perfect way for them to celebrate without having to be up until midnight. AND, it gave the four of us a few hours of relaxing before we watched the fireworks at KoOlina from our back yard.
