Mark and I were fortunate enough to get a four day couple's vacation to Boston while on our family summer vacation (the boys stayed with my parents). We went to Boston for the Wong-Callisto wedding and a Hawaii friend reunion. We had an amazing time reconnecting with friends, celebrating the marriage of friends who met in Hawaii, and having some couple time. Visiting Boston and the Massachusetts coast was a first for both of us and we absolutely loved it!
Day 1: Lunch with the Martins at a local pub, dinner with the whole gang down at the Boston Harbor, and out for drinks with everyone.

| Mark and Matt were just as happy to catch up with each other as Katie and I were :) |
| At one time we all lived and taught in Hawaii, now we are scattered all over! Kristine (Boston), Steph (Hawaii), Jenn (Florida), and Melanie (Pennsylvania). |
| First time seeing many of these great friends in years! |
We started Day #2 at a pub that could accomodate our whole crew at the bar. From there we spent the day exploring the historic sites of Boston on the Freedom Trail with a few pit stops at some of the pubs. We met for breakfast around 10:00 am and got home around 2:00 am. We literally walked ALL over the city!
| Attempted panoramic photo of our group of about 18 sitting at the bar for breakfast. |
| After breakfast group shot and the first of MANY photos that flooded Facebook this weekend with the #HawaiiInBoston theme :) |
| Our first stop on the Freedom Trail was Boston Gardens |
| Our second stop was Cheers bar |
| Samuel Adam's Memorial |
| Paul Revere's Memorial |
| The city has sprinklings of historic buildings among the modern |

| A group shot at Paul Revere's home |
Day 3 was the Wong-Callisto wedding! It was held at a beautiful estate north of the city in Peabody, MA. Kristen paid attention to every detail and it was an absolutely stunning wedding!

| The Hawaii crew! |
| Mr. and Mrs. Callisto! Thanks so much for allowing us to share this special day with you! |
On day 4, Mark and I drove up the MA coast to visit some of the fishing towns and the historic town of Salem (I love history btw :)
| The Salem Witch Trial Memorial |
| After Salem, we headed to the coast towards the town of Gloucester. We stopped to put our feet in the water at Singing Beach on the way where the water was a freezing 63 degrees in July! Yikes, Hawaii waters have spoiled us :) |
| We explored the fishing village of Gloucester... |
| and then made our way a little further north to the village of Rockport. |
| $10 for lobster! It was the first time either of us had whole lobster! |
| We made our way back down to Gloucester for a light dinner of lobster roll, lobster bisque and few beers from a local brewery. We officially "ate" our way through the MA coast :) |
