We made our annual trek out to the Aloun Farm pumpkin patch back in October for a Hawaiian-style fall day - hot, sunny, and some pumpkins.

Trying to get a group shot with all the kids is always a challenge, even more so when Uncle Brian thinks they would hide behind the corn and then actually peek out for the photo. This reminds me of one of those #nailedit funny photos from Pinterest fails :)

Stopped for dinner at Serg's in Manoa after our pumpkin patch adventure.

The best part of going to the pumpkin patch is getting to carve the pumpkin afterwards. We let our pumpkin sit outside for a few days before we were able to carve it and it rotted! That gave Mark even more fuel for his argument that our pumpkin patch should be Safeway (he's not a fan of the pumpkin patch). So, we went to Safeway and picked out a great pumpkin to carve :)

My favorite parts of carving the pumpkins are roasting the seeds and making pumpkin puree.
